Basically, 5-HTP increases serotonin, which is a neurotransmitter (it transmits signals between different parts of your brain) and directly affects mood. Consuming 5-HTP means your body can produce more serotonin and melatonin; helping you sleep, helping your brain work faster, and positively re-balancing your mood.
